English Text Readability and Reading Comprehension Performance of Grade 11 Senior High School Students

The study explored the significance of English text readability and reading comprehension proficiency grade 11 senior high school students. teachers validated 45-item test intervention materials. Fifteen subjects (who got lowest pretest score) were selected from class who mean score in pretest. It made use quasi experimental method where undergone lessons with texts varied level (high, fair, low). Pretest posttest scores are compared. Results indicated that there is a considerable increase (13.13) as compared to (10.53). Further, significant difference between (p < 0.05) has substantial effect on comprehension.
